That photo remained hidden among my memories of the years in Madrid, the best of my life. I always kept it as a great treasure. I was never one to take pictures, but that was the photo. The person who took it was someone I deeply admired and whom, to this day, we continue to admire. Perhaps because nostalgia knows how to appear at just the right moment. And if I pull on that thread, I discover that photographs have that power: to build bridges toward new connections, toward stories still waiting to be written.
We have always believed that stories intertwine to form even better ones. And so it happened: that photograph became the beginning of a new tale. A circle closed in Madrid, in the same place where that first image was born, though in a different setting. The photo I had kept since 2011 and treasured so dearly came back to life. And the most exciting part is that, 14 years later, the photographer everyone dreamed of having behind the lens surprised us at the Vogue gala with a very special snapshot: he was carrying the bag that, a few months ago, we had sent him with so much affection. A gesture that gave us immense joy and reminded us why entrepreneurship is so worthwhile.
That night, Dueñas wandered between the music and the murmur of the city, during an event at Vogue Fashion’s Night Out 2025. And there, once again, stories crossed under Gerard’s gaze. Another sign that life, when we let it flow, finds beautiful ways to tell itself.
Today September invites us to do the same: to let those bridges between past and future lead us toward new paths. Perhaps we all keep a photo, a memory, or a moment capable of opening the door to what is yet to come. May this month be that chance to look back with affection and, above all, to walk forward with hope.
